This Refund Policy outlines how refunds are handled across all Englishpick products and services — ebooks, online courses, home tuition, and coaching center classes. Please read the relevant section carefully before making a purchase or enrollment.
1. Digital Ebooks
Due to the instant, downloadable nature of digital products, all ebook purchases are final and non-refundable once the download link has been issued or the file accessed, except in cases of genuine technical failure.
If you experience a technical issue — such as a failed or corrupted download, a duplicate charge, or payment deducted without access being granted — please contact us via our Contact page within 7 days of purchase, along with your order details. We will investigate and, where the issue is verified as being on our end, provide either a working replacement file or a full refund at our discretion.
Refunds are not provided for reasons of personal preference, change of mind, or dissatisfaction with content quality once the ebook has been downloaded.
2. Online Courses and Tutoring
This section is divided into two parts based on course type: (A) English Communication Course, and (B) English Honours, English MA, and Subject-English Tuition. Refund terms differ significantly between these two categories.
Part A — English Communication Course
2.1 Group Classes: The advance course fee paid per student is non-refundable once enrollment is confirmed, except as covered under the 48-Hour Cooling-Off Period (Section 2.5).
2.2 One-on-One Classes — Full Advance Payment: If the total course fee has been paid in advance, 95% of the amount is refundable upon cancellation, subject to Sections 2.4 and 2.6 below.
2.3 One-on-One Classes — Installment Payment (Two Installments): If fees are paid in two installments, 90% of the amount paid to date is refundable upon cancellation, subject to Sections 2.4 and 2.6 below.
2.4 Discounted Fees: If any discount was availed on the total course fee — whether paid in full advance or via installments — all refund calculations will be based on the actual (non-discounted) course fee, not the discounted amount paid. The discount benefit does not carry over to the refund calculation.
2.5 48-Hour Cooling-Off Period: If cancellation is requested within 48 hours of course fee payment, the full amount paid is refunded, regardless of payment type. This cooling-off period applies exclusively to the English Communication Course. It does not extend to the Seat Booking Fee (Section 2.7), which remains non-refundable under all circumstances. After 48 hours, cancellation is processed as per Sections 2.1, 2.2, or 2.3, whichever applies.
2.6 Mid-Course Discontinuation: If a student discontinues a one-on-one English Communication Course partway through, the refund will be calculated by deducting the value of sessions actually taken up to the date the discontinuation request is submitted, calculated on the entire non-discounted course fee, regardless of any discount availed at payment.
2.7 Seat Booking Fee: A seat booking fee of ₹150 (India) or $4 (international) is charged separately at enrollment and is completely non-refundable under all circumstances, including within the 48-hour cooling-off period.
Part B — English Honours, English MA, and Subject-English Tuition
2.8 Monthly Advance Fee — Non-Refundable: The monthly advance course fee (one-on-one or group format) is non-refundable once paid, regardless of sessions attended or cancellation timing.
2.9 No Cooling-Off Period: The 48-Hour Cooling-Off Period does not apply to this course category. Monthly advance payments are treated as final from the moment of payment.
2.10 Discontinuation Mid-Month: No partial refund or pro-rated adjustment will be made for the unused portion of a month if a student discontinues partway through.
2.11 Batch-based or fixed-duration courses under either Part A or Part B may have additional specific refund terms communicated at enrollment; such terms take precedence over the general provisions above.
3. Home Tuition
3.1 Before Commencement: Full refund if cancelled prior to the first scheduled session.
3.2 After Commencement: Refunds for discontinued home tuition are calculated on a pro-rata basis for sessions not yet delivered, provided cancellation is communicated with reasonable notice (see Cancellation Policy).
3.3 Missed Sessions: Sessions missed by the student without prior notice are not eligible for refund or make-up, as tutor time has been reserved in advance.
4. Coaching Center Classes
4.1 Before Batch Commencement: Full refund if cancelled before the batch begins.
4.2 After Batch Commencement: Fees are generally non-refundable once a batch has commenced, given that group classes are planned around confirmed enrollment numbers. Exceptions may be considered case-by-case for documented medical emergencies or relocation, at our discretion.
5. How Refunds Are Processed
All approved refunds for online payments will be processed back to the original payment method via Razorpay within 7-10 business days of approval. Refunds for offline payments (if any fees were collected via cash or other offline methods) will be processed via bank transfer or another mutually agreed method within a similar timeframe.
6. How to Request a Refund

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 3-5 business days.
